  • Verify your right to work in the UK.
  • Confirm your identity.
  • Conduct a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, if applicable (formerly known as a criminal record check).
  • Collect references.
  • Review your employment history and investigate any gaps in employment.
  • Verify any qualifications required for the role.
  • Assess your skills and experience through specific questions to confirm your suitability for the position.

The exact screening checks may vary depending on the sector you’ll be working in. Your dedicated Rayne Consultancy Consultant will provide detailed guidance on this process. We strongly recommend that you start preparing the required documentation as early as possible to ensure a swift and smooth process, allowing us to present you to potential employers promptly.


What to Bring for Your Registration Interview

To complete your pre-screening, you’ll need to provide the following:

Proof of Right to Work in the UK (One of the following):

  • UK Passport or Long Birth Certificate
  • EU Passport or ID Card
  • Non-UK Passport with a valid Visa or Endorsement
  • Biometric Residence Card
  • Recent Home Office Letter (dated within the last 6 months)

Photo Identification (Must be in date):

  • Driver’s License or another government-issued photo ID

Proof of Address (Two documents dated within the last 3 months):

  • Utility bill (not a mobile phone bill)
  • Bank statement
  • Council tax statement

Additional Documentation:

  • Proof of National Insurance Number (Card, Payslip, P45, or P60)
  • Original certificate of your highest and most relevant qualification(s)
  • Certificate for any relevant training courses completed
  • Most recent DBS certificate (if required for the role)
